I remember the first time at the store a child said, "My family doesn't celebrate Christmas", and I just said, then I hope you have a wonderful day, instead.

I'm not sure how it would feel being repeatedly wished Merry Christmas if I weren't a Christian. I wonder if it's sort of like the past several years when it was Superbowl Sunday, I got so sick and tired of hearing "What are you doing for the Superbowl" and answering "cleaning my bathroom"...

Ahhhhh decorating. I think window clings bring joy to any occasion. My kids tease me about how "all out" I go for decorating. (I have window clings for every occasion throughout the year. It sort of guarantees the windows get washed on a regular basis). Now, I do admit... I will decorate my tree full hilt and hang a wreath & a little garland, but I am NOT interested in rearranging and redoing everything in my house for a month. It took me years to get it livable. I am not willing to undo that. That's always been a little bit silly though. Is it THAT offensive to be wished a Merry Christmas?

I've never felt like there's a war on Christmas, but the holidays have lost much of their magic for me, as so often is just seems like a serious uptake in stress. And I really hate the commercialism, especially when people get into the realm of competitive decorating. *shudders*Love and Lunchmeathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07507820170531348664noreply@blogger.com
